2012 Schedule – Open Acoustic Jams at the Vestal Public Library

The following regarding the Library Jams for 2012 was sent by Dannielle.  These a open acoustic Jams attracting musicains of all styles and interests!  Stop by if you are free and interested!

Dear Musicians,

Thank you for your patience while I get organized!  I started a new job this month (still working for the library, though) and it’s been a huge distraction from the really important stuff in life like MUSIC.  Looks like things are getting back to controlled chaos, however, and we now have a schedule for 2012.

John V.  is looking into booking Summer Library Jams at the Binghamton (Broome County Public) Library, since they are open on Saturdays during the summers while Vestal is closed.  When we have confirmed them, those will be added to the schedule.

Question:  we could book the library room in Vestal for a jam in November and December as well, on the last Saturdays of those months.  Let’s take a vote: please let me know if you think that’s a good idea.

There is an open acoustic jam session every Tuesday night (except the first Tuesday of the month, which is an Open Mic opportunity) at the Cyber Cafe West on Main Street in Binghamton.

Matt Burt and the Casual Acquaintances

Local Singer Songwriter Matt Burt will be playing tunes from his first CD and his upcoming release at Barnes and Noble 4/24 from 8-9 PM.  As a long time casual acquaintance, Jack will be playing bass for this event.

2010 Schedule – Open Acoustic Jam at the Vestal Public Library

Time to make noise in the library again!  We gather in the Lecture Room, which is at the back of the building — just take the right-hand doors out of the foyer, turn left and go to the end of the hallway. Turn right, and join us in the room on the left!

Musicians — instrumentalists, singers, and listeners! — are welcome to come for all or part of that time. All acoustic instruments are welcome, all skill levels, all styles/genres of music, and we use the round-robin method so that everyone gets a chance to choose a favorite song to lead or ask someone else to lead.

Open Acoustic Jam at the Vestal Public Library

Time to make noise in the library again!

The Library Jams are held at the Vestal Public Library, located on the Vestal Parkway East (just east of the Skylark Diner.)  The library is open on Sundays during the school year, 1-5pm, so we hold our jam during those same hours, in the Lecture Room at the back of the building.

Here’s the library jam schedule for the rest of 2009:
