Had a great time at the Red Door Cafe. A small but very appreciative crowd was on hand to help Waverly to beat back the blues from the flooding. The Red Door is a combination coffee shop and thrift store/community center. It provided a great venue and the band had a great time! We look forward to returning – perhaps this summer for a block party (if not before!). A couple of pictures from Bob are below:

Come on out and see the Juke Joint Cowboys at the Choconut at the corner of Route 26 and Brackney Road in Friendsville PA on Thursday 6/9/2011 from 6-9 PM. Weather permitting we will be playing outside – they have a great barbeque setup. The Choconut is a great place to hang – come hear a ton of new material we’ve added to the setlist!

After a bit of a hiatus, JJC will be at Topper Saloon and Eatery in West Corners on 1/29/11. We’ll start at 9:30 and go till we’re done. This is our first show since Ry moved off to California – we’ve got some new tunes and a bit sparser sound with more of a Roots/Americana edge. Topper is a small club that has great wings and good drink prices – 1001 Union Center Maine Highway (route 26). C’mon by for some chipkickin fun.

Roger, Ry and Jack will play an acoustic set at Broad Street Records 369 Broad Street, Waverly, NY 14892-1442 on Saturday April 17 from 3-4 PM. We’ll be doing Juke Joint Cowboys tunes as well as anything else that strikes our fancy. C’mon by!

On Saturday 8/8 from 10-2 Roger, Jack and Bobby will sit in with local blues band Outta time at Thirstys in Binghamton. Fronted by local bluesman Rock McGhee, Outta Time also features Paula Bacorn on Keyboards and vocals. This will be an opportunity to have some fun, make some great music, and to showcase a couple of JJC tunes. Come on by to join the fun.

Juke Joint Cowboys rocked the house at the outdoor party this weekend. Started out doing country, moved to R&B and finished out the night with straight out Rock and Roll! A good time was had by all – well almost all!

Blake Madison Benefit

Played at a benefit for Blake Madison today. Blake is a young man who was parylized in an auto accident. The benefit was winding down by the time we hit the stage, but the response from those remining was GREAT. Big fun was had by all – and all for a good cause!

We played our first job July 18, 2009 at the Broad Street Music Fest in Waverly New York. A good time was had by all, despite having to move indoors due to the rain. Things were a bit tight but the response was very positive. A few pics from the job are posted. Thanks for all the kind words and the hootin and hollerin. Hope to see you again soon!
