Jack McKissick
After migrating from the Syracuse country rock circuit, Jack became a fixture in the Binghamton music scene in the eighties doing country, southern and rockabilly with acts such as the T.C. Express, the Revivors, Mountain Music Outlaws and Good Intentions (with Roger) before taking a multi year hiatus. During this time Jack explored and expanded his interest in Alt. country and country music, listening to the likes of Dave Alvin, Steve Earle, Kelly Joe Phelps, Whiskeytown, Son Volt and of course the Flying Burrito Brothers. He returned to the Binghamton music scene in 2006 with Matt Burt and the Casual acquaintances, playing on Matt’s Second CD, as well as the local country flavored offerings Twang Factory (also with Roger) and Bad Mudd. But growing up he had always wanted to be a cowboy. Since there isn’t a heck of a market for cowpokes in Binghamton NY, he decided to pursue his goal by becoming a Juke joint Cowboy. The rest, as they say, is history.
